I graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1995 and was licensed in 1996.  Before becoming a prosecutor, I practiced civil law for seven years and tried civil jury trials and handled our firm's appeals.  I not only briefed the law for the justices, I also appeared before the appellate court in Houston to argue one of the issues raised on appeal.

In 2003, I began my career as a prosecutor with the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office where I have been for more than four years.  I am currently a felony prosecutor trying all types of criminal cases. I have also been the chief prosecutor in County Court at Law No. 1 and County Court at Law No. 3, trying the types of cases that will be heard in County Court at Law No. 5. 

I also have the experience in overseeing budgets.  Part of my duties as city councilman, is to assist the city staff with the development and execution of a city budget.   The city has never gone over it's budget while I've been in office.

I am 41 years old, married 13 years and have two beautiful daughters.  I have the experience trying cases in the areas that will come before a trial judge.  I handled criminal and civil cases where I have dealt closely with victims and their families.  I understand the victims' needs and rights through the trial experience. 

Our courts are a critical area in the justice system, I will efficiently and effectively administer justice as your judge of County Court at Law No. 5 on behalf of my family and the citizens of Montgomery County.
